Kirshner & Schmidt take safety very seriously, so much so that this responsibility falls primarily on one of the two partners, Mr. Schmidt, who is the identified OSHA safety director. Both partners share an unyielding commitment to providing first-class work in a clean, safe environment. This philosophy is evident in all aspects of our operations. From the home office to every jobsite, Kirshner & Schmidt safety program requires the full participation of everyone involved to ensure the health and protection of all persons, property and equipment.
To these ends, we implement our comprehensive Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP), weekly site Tailgate & Toolbox meetings and on-going safety training programs so that all persons involved in a project have the training and awareness to perform their work efficiently and in a safe manner.
This program
is
in full accordance with all safety regulations and is designed to accomplish

- Identify and evaluate jobsite hazards, both for the protection of Kirshner & Schmidt employees and for the public and involved parties on the jobsite
- Establish methods for correcting unsafe conditions, including inspections, checklists, and weekly jobsite safety meetings
- Implement ongoing safety training for employees
- Develop a system of communication and feedback to ensure that employees comply with the safety program
